Welcome to the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Arizona State University. Research in this exciting field is concerned with understanding the fundamental molecular events that are at the core of all life. The goal of our program is to provide a diverse range of research and training opportunities for doctoral students interested in pursuing a multidisciplinary approach to their studies that extends beyond the traditional boundaries of biological research. Participating faculty and researchers are drawn from multiple departments, colleges, centers, and institutes across the university, as well as from partner institutions in the greater Phoenix area. Students will receive an education on the contemporary approaches used for molecular and cellular biology and also have the flexibility to tailor a program to meet their specific professional goals. This provides for a dynamic and innovative research and training environment that embraces the goals of the New American University at ASU by breaking from traditional disciplinary and organizational constraints and allowing the student to develop new knowledge and approaches that will help transform our global society.
